At the national level, the American Academy of Pediatrics has many committees working to address a variety of child health issues. The pediatricians who make up these committees are experts pulled from across the country. Here in Minnesota, we have several pediatricians serving as content experts on national committees:

Any Fellow of the AAP may nominate a Fellow, or themselves, for a committee member position. All nominees must submit a letter of nomination, a completed fact sheet, and a biosketch. Nomination packets can be found online in the AAP Member Center at www.aap.org/moc/commnoms.htm
