Public Policy Committee

The official committee name is the Public Policy Committee, although we sometimes refer to it as the Advocacy Committee.

The Public Policy Committee is an active group that meets several times a year to promote and manage the advocacy agenda of the Minnesota chapter. This committee, together with the chapter lobbyist, crafts a Legislative Agenda and submits it to the Board of Directors. The committee then implements the approved Legislative Agenda.

The Public Policy Committee also tracks introduced legislative bills during the legislative session, locates chapter members to testify on issues that impact pediatric healthcare, works with and/or develops coalitions on broad healthcare issues, and provides a forum for members to talk to their legislators on issues that matter to them.

The committee crafts a Legislative Agenda and submits it to the Board of Directors. The committee then implements the approved Legislative Agenda.
