National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is Dec. 1-7, 2019. This is the perfect time to remind patients that it’s not too late to get their flu vaccine and why flu vaccination is so important. For the 2018-19 season, only about 64% of Minnesota children age 6 months through 17 years received a flu vaccine.
The Minnesota Department of Health is asking MNAAP members for their help by sharing why they vaccinate on social media during NIVW. MDH wants families across the state to know that flu vaccination is safe, effective, and recommended by health care providers.
