November 12, 2009
Minnesota's children, teens, and families will remember the fall of 2009 for the cool, rainy weather and H1N1.
Minnesota pediatricians have been working many long hours to safeguard our children over the past months. We are unsure of when this will end and the normal flu season will begin. We are thankful that this disease is not as bad as it could have been and that most of our children and teens are resilient. It is the tired glimmer in a parent's eyes that silently conveys gratitude for helping their child with asthma get through their latest ordeal. We dig a little deeper and find that extra energy to help more families, to help our community or our profession.
Giving thanks for all you do to help the children of Minnesota,
Anne Edwards, M.D., F.A.A.P.
